When words can\u2019t quite sum up a feeling, Ben Zank<\/a> (previously<\/a>) leans into a bizarre visual language. The New York-based photographer creates strange situations in which subjects find themselves subsumed by topiaries and shrubs or buttoned up with structural supports. <\/p>\n

Captured in non-discernable locations, Zank\u2019s images turn the banal into the surreal, while his witty titles\u2014\u201dFailed Columnist\u201d and \u201cCloudy with a Chance of Despair\u201d\u2014amplify his penchant for humor.<\/p>\n
