Emphasizing the potential of color and contrast to create a sense of warmth and depth, figures bask in glowing interiors, and landscapes fade into the blue of distance.<\/p>\n<p>Tasker\u2019s figures are often camouflaged or miniaturized by their towering surroundings, whether wandering among stacks of textiles or strolling through a grove of trees. \u201cRecently, I\u2019ve been enjoying playing with pattern, light and depth,\u201d she tells Colossal. \u201cI\u2019m always aiming for the balance of challenging my comfort zone while also staying true to my natural style.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"1358\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"an illustration of a figure standing among numerous patterned rugs and textiles\" class=\"wp-image-446143 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/scrollsugar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/tasker-6-960x1358-2.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Illustration for Singing Holidays<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While she can\u2019t yet divulge some of the exciting projects in the works for the coming year, Tasker is currently working on another illustration for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.singingholidays.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Singing Holidays<\/a>, which plans music-focused tours around Europe and elsewhere. <\/p>\n<p>She enjoys working with clients that provide open briefs and lend their full trust. For example, Singing Holidays gives her \u201cthe space to really experiment with my work and create images that are mostly self initiated, while still having some parameters or starting points to work within\u2014which is my favourite type of commission and when I feel most creative,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Prints and calendars are available in Tasker\u2019s online <a
